Position: Management Accountant
Location: Cardiff, South Wales

Role Overview: As a Management Accountant, you'll be instrumental in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in providing accurate financial insights, enabling us to optimise operations and achieve our sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and performance reports for the Waste Business division.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with operational teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Cost Analysis: Analyse operational costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
Financial Planning: Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and industry standards within the Waste Business division.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing financial expertise and insights to support operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Experience in management accounting or financial analysis, preferably within the waste management or environmental sector.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and a desire to contribute to positive change.
