Job Description:


Position:


Kmbal Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, customer due diligence, and regulatory reporting. This role requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience, including at least one years in a Senior Management Function SMF 17 role. The MLRO will play a strategic role in risk management, compliance oversight, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies.


Key Responsibilities:


- Develop, implement, and maintain Kmbal’s AML framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.


- Lead and enhance the firm's financial crime compliance policies and procedures to mitigate money laundering risks.


- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate controls to manage financial crime threats.


- Oversee transaction monitoring, reporting suspicious activities to relevant authorities.


- Provide AML training to employees, fostering a strong compliance culture.


- Act as the primary point of contact for the FCA and other regulatory bodies regarding AML matters.


- Conduct periodic internal reviews and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with AML regulations.


- Stay updated on evolving financial crime risks and regulatory changes.


Qualifications:


- Minimum of three years of AML compliance experience within the financial services industry.


- At least one year of experience in an SMF 17 role within a regulated firm.


- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, AML requirements, and compliance best practices.


- Proven experience in onboarding and conducting due diligence on institutional and retail clients.


- Excellent risk management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.


- Professional certifications such as ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent are highly desirable.
