Role Purpose:

The Contract Administrator will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects and enhancing our culture of innovation.

The role holder will manage contract administration, risk management and negotiation effectively to deliver the agreed profitability and cash projections, informing line management and seeking guidance as and when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract administration including, among others, contractual notifications, follow up and response of open notifications. This is not limited to the Construction Contract but the Interface Agreement, Project Agreement, CTA, etc as required.
  • General assistance to the Commercial Manager to negotiate and sign miscellaneous agreements required for the development of the project.
  • Liaise with Sacyr legal team, both internal and external, as required
  • Support to the rest of the Commercial Department as required, including Quantity Surveyors and Procurement as required.
  • Advise on contractual issues.
  • Report to the Commercial Manager/Project Director.
  • Be fully aware of and actively comply with Sacyr’s policies and procedures relevant to own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including equality, sustainability and the environment, health and safety and data protection.
  • Additional duties associated with the role as determined by management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum Degree in Law or equivalent
  • 2- 4 years post graduate experience in a similar role
  • 8 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrable negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work to deadlines and pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisation ability combined with good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively analyse and communicate complex ideas and information to a range of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Familiar with IT software in particular the Microsoft suite; to include Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word.

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous experience as on building/hospitals
  • Knowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Being fully aware of and actively complying with Sacyr’s policies and procedures relevant to your own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including equality, sustainability and the environment, health and safety and data protection
