We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Vale of Glamorgan to assist with the appointment of a Carpenter, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.17 - £16.47 per hour

Summary:

Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team, supporting a range of construction and maintenance projects across the region. The ideal candidate will be qualified, have hands-on experience in the construction industry, and demonstrate a high standard of workmanship. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to meaningful projects within the community.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks including fitting, repairing, and constructing timber structures and components
  
  


• Undertake maintenance and repair work in residential and commercial properties


• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required
  
  


• Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision and efficiency


• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety standards and council regulations

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry and Joinery

Essentials:

• Reference from a previous employer verifying experience and work ethicAbility to work independently and as part of a team


• Previous experience working in the construction or property maintenance sector.


• Full UK driving licence (valid and clean).
