If you're looking to make a significant impact in a visible, valued and specialist role, we would love to hear from you.
Part time hours could be considered for the right candidate.
The People Assurance and Experience Manager plays a key leadership role, providing expert advice and operational oversight across a range of critical workforce areas. The role involves:
- Leading the development, implementation and review of employment policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation, case law and best practice.
- Providing highly specialist advice to managers and staff on matters relating to people policies, systems and governance.
- Acting as the UHB’s Job Evaluation Lead
- Managing statutory compliance relating to Right to Work, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Off Payroll Working, and Certificates of Sponsorship.
- Overseeing the People Assurance and Experience contribution to the corporate vacancy scrutiny process, providing assurance and supporting good governance.
- Managing and developing the People Assurance and Experience team, ensuring high standards of delivery, performance, and staff engagement.
- Building effective relationships with colleagues across the People and Culture function, senior leaders, trade union partners, and external stakeholders including NWSSP payroll and recruitment services.
This is a pivotal role requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professional credibility. You will work across the organisation and wider NHS network to support the consistent delivery of effective and compliant people practices.
