Permanent - Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our growing regional business to undertake the role of Development Manager based in Cardiff
Reporting to the Regional Development Director you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the timely management and effective delivery of mixed tenure residential developments from bid stage through to handover to the project team in readiness for site start on projects across South Wales and the South West. You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable leading meetings and presenting to clients, senior leadership within Lovell and to all levels of the business
We ask that you should be familiar with and are able to:
Lead the design team and planning stage meetings to secure planning and drainage consents
Legal process for land acquisition/ contract
When required lead the land purchase contract
Prepare initial Pre-Start programmes
Review S106/planning position/liaison with planning consultants
Appoint and manage design teams of external consultants including, Architects, Engineers, Ecologists and other specialist companies
You will have previous experience within a similar role, along with residential new build experience in both private sale and social housing markets. We also ask that you hold extensive experience and/or a degree qualification and / or professional membership in Development or Chartered Surveying field, which is essential to the role
