Architect – AutoCAD proficient


An excellent opportunity to join my clients who are on the lookout for an Architect to join their established practice based in Cardiff, working on both residential and commercial projects. They have an envious pipeline of projects within both the private residential and commercial sectors with work spanning the areas far and wide throughout the Cardiff and London areas.


The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of experience in the UK residential and commercial sectors, ability to hit the ground running both collaboratively and independently on projects. Have experience working across all RIBA stages inclusive of planning, design and technical detailing and throughout the construction phase and be adaptable to work across various sectors.


Key Responsibilities:



  1. Interpret client briefs and produce high quality technical drawings and details across all RIBA stages including planning, conceptual, technical detailing and design.

  2. Ensure compliance with current building regulations and legislation both in the office and out on site.

  3. Work collaboratively or independently throughout projects varying in size and across different sectors.

  4. Develop and refine design proposals and planning applications, progressing them through to technical specifications, tender documentation, and detailed construction drawings.


Essential Requirements:




  1. RIBA Part III Qualified Architect - Essential


  2. ARB Registered - Desirable


  3. 3 - 5 years’ experience in residential and commercial work with ability to work across all RIBA stages.

  4. Strong understanding of UK building regulations & construction methods.

  5. Proficiency in AutoCAD & Sketchup – Essential

  6. Working knowledge of Enscape - Desirable

  7. Demonstratable experience in Residential & Commercial projects varying in size.


  8. Project running experience – advantageous.
