Job Role: Senior Cosmetic Chemist / Formulation Scientist
Location: North West (England)
Salary: Up to £50,000

Are you a passionate Formulation Chemist with a flair for innovation and a love for beauty and personal care? We're working with a brilliant brand based in the North West who are on the hunt for a talented individual to join their team and take charge of creating innovative, high-performing products that stand out on the shelves.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the development of new and exciting beauty and personal care formulations, from concept through to launch.
- Driving continuous improvement across existing formulations to ensure top-tier quality and performance.
- Staying ahead of industry trends, technologies, and ingredient innovations to inspire fresh ideas and maintain competitive edge.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with NPD, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to ensure product excellence across the board.
- Owning the product development process and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Conducting lab-based experiments, stability testing, and compatibility assessments to ensure formulation robustness.
- Supporting the scale-up process from lab to production, working closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams.
What we're looking for:
- A background in cosmetic science, chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience in formulating beauty and/or personal care products.
- A strong understanding of ingredients, stability testing, and compliance requirements.
- Someone curious, creative, and passionate about innovation in the beauty world.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
