Job Role: Social Media Executive

Location: Hybrid - In our Cardiff office (CF15 7QZ) 3 days per week

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (DoE)

Job Purpose, Tasks And Responsibilities

As our Social Media Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our social media strategy! Working closely with our Head of Digital Marketing, you’ll lead on the creation, scheduling, and optimisation of compelling social content across key channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X.


You will be responsible for:

  • Social Media Strategy Execution - Implementing our strategy and manage all of our social media accounts ensuring a consistent tone of of voice, visual identity, and brand values.
  • Content Creation and Engagement - Creating and publishing relevant content for national and regional audiences, as well as developing engaging organic and paid campaigns across our channels.
  • Team Support and Training - Delivering internal training and workshops on social media best practices and tools.
  • Audience Interaction and Monitoring - Monitoring emerging issues and reputational risks in line with brand protocols, and engaging with our audience with professionalism.
  • Performance Tracking and Strategy Improvement - Tracking and reporting on key performance metrics, and managing budget tracking for paid social campaigns.

Essential And Desirable Capabilities

We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...


To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Strong experience in managing social media for a brand.
  • A proven track record of growing social presence, engagement, and conversions.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with a keen eye for tone and detail.
  • Hands-on experience with social media platforms particularly LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Confidence in developing and delivering social-first content plans.
  • Experience in managing paid social campaigns (e.g., Meta Ads), using tools to enhance performance.


To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:

  • Experience in video editing.
  • Experience using Photoshop, Canva and other image editing tools.
