We are currently looking to recruit a Band 3 Health care support worker in Hafod Y Wennol.
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated person with experience of working with people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, behaviours which challenge, complex health needs and often a forensic history.
Previous experience in a similar area of work will be beneficial, with knowledge and experience of implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) with individuals who may present with complex behaviours that challenge.
Hafod Y Wennol is an assessment and treatment unit, which offers care to people with acute mental health or behavioural needs.
The aim is for a short-term admission working alongside the multi-disciplinary team to assess and implement treatment plans to enable the person to be well enough to return to their community.

Candidates would support individuals to access meaningful activities and recognise early warning signs that require care plan intervention.
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate commitment to developing their skills.
We believe staff are our best asset and we want you to be happy and confident about starting your career here in Swansea Bay University Health Board.
As one of the biggest healthcare groups in the UK we can offer a wealth of professional training and development opportunities in an innovative, forward-thinking organisation.
You might be a nurse or doctor, maybe you specialise in a health science/therapy or can offer skills in one of our support services - we have a job for you.
There are also apprenticeships, work placements and volunteering roles available.
We are an inclusive employer and welcome applications from everyone whatever their sex; religion or belief; race; age; sexual orientation; gender identity or, whether they are pregnant or have recently been on maternity leave, married or are in a civil partnership; or, whether they are disabled.
Our values - Caring For Each Other, Working Together and Always Improving, show that our commitment to equality is at the heart of everything we do.
If you want excellent career and training opportunities while living on the doorstep of some of Europe's most spectacular scenery, with all the benefits of a thriving and cosmopolitan city - look no further.
You will deliver safe, high-quality, compassionate care following individualised care plans and treatment interventions determined by the Registered Practitioner. This will include supporting patients with all aspects of the fundamentals of care, including activities of daily living, and providing feedback on progress against the plans.
You will communicate effectively with patients and relatives in a manner which is sensitive to patients, carers and relatives needs. This includes communicating effectively with patients who may have sensory impairment, speech and language.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
