Admiral

The role provides a unique and exciting opportunity for those seeking a start in their legal career, joining us as we continue to grow, developing your legal skills with our exceptional training.

About Admiral Law

Admiral Law is a growing business; we are a legal practice run by a team of experts who specialise in personal injury claims. The client is always at the heart of everything we do, and we aim to be exceptional in the service we deliver.

Admiral Law operates as a standalone entity within Admiral Group and operates as a team with appropriate specialists but with the added support and benefits of being part of the wider business.

We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating an excellent service for our clients.

The Role

As a Paralegal within Admiral Law, you will be representing our clients who have been injured as a result of a road traffic accident to bring a claim against the defendant. The successful candidate will deal with a caseload of claims from the commencement of the claim, up to and settlement.  This can be a difficult time for our clients and therefore you will be there from the start of their claim, reassuring and empathising with them.

Aside from investigating the accident circumstances, you may be responsible for the investigation of our client’s claim for Personal Injury. Your role will involve obtaining medical evidence in support of your client’s claim, valuing the injuries sustained and gathering all of the required evidence in respect of their losses.

With your own caseload, you’ll advise your clients on the best course of action. In this fast-paced role, you’ll effectively manage and progress your own caseload using our in-house case management system (and in line with our SLAs), keeping clients informed of progress every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively reviewing accident circumstances and any relevant case law.

  • Assessing and investigating liability.

  • Reviewing Medical Reports and valuing injury claims.

  • Reviewing financial losses.

  • Advising clients in respect of liability and quantum.

  • Drafting court documents.

  • Considering prospects and taking a pragmatic approach to settlements.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of handling claims of this nature is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.

  • You must have a genuine interest in law and be willing to learn new skills and approaches to tasks.

  • Whilst you will be supported in your role, you will need to be able to manage your time effectively, ensuring adherence with SLAs and deadlines.

  • A large part of the role is solving problems and so the ability to weigh up various approaches and then action the appropriate solution will be essential.

  • An eagerness to “get stuck in”, whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.

  • You should be as enthusiastic about delivering great service as we are! The desire to perform to the best of your abilities will be indispensable when you join the team here at Admiral Law.
