Senior Accountant - #1696397

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations and lead a small transactional team


• Own month-end and period-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting


• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis


• Provide insight and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making


• Be the key point of contact for internal and external audits


• Oversee compliance with VAT, HMRC, and corporate governance requirements


• Manage IFRS16 reporting and stock/capex tracking


• Mentor and develop finance team members through appraisals and ongoing support

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

• A professional qualification in finance or accounting.


• Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.


• Proven experience in a similar finance role within the transport & distribution industry.


• Strong leadership skills with a dedicated approach to mentoring a team.


• Excellent numeracy skills with an analytical mind.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data effectively.
