Hoop PS&HR is proud to collaborate with a forward-thinking, employee-focused organization currently seeking a Trainee Assessor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is based in Cardiff, offering a salary of up to £27,000.
You will deliver high-quality, engaging training and assessment to individuals working in various care settings, including residential care, domiciliary care, and community support services. Your work will directly influence the quality of care by helping learners develop essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide compassionate, safe, and effective care.
The role involves enhancing the company's performance by driving positive learner outcomes, achieving performance targets, and contributing to the continuous improvement of training programs.
Occupational competence in Health and Social Care and a willingness to work towards the Assessor Award (CAVA) are required.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, sector-relevant training to Health and Social Care learners, maintaining high standards.
- Travel to workplace settings across the region for assessments and reviews.
- Develop and implement Individual Learning Plans tailored to each learner.
- Maintain accurate attendance and guided learning hours in line with audit and funding requirements.
- Achieve agreed performance and learner progression targets.
- Facilitate assessments and tests, supporting learners to prepare and build confidence.
- Stay informed about current Health and Social Care regulations and Work-Based Learning Standards.
- Participate in relevant training and personal development activities.
Requirements:
- Experience in Health and Social Care occupational roles.
- Willingness to pursue the Assessor Award (CAVA).
- Full driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Strong organizational, communication, and IT skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent measures.
- Experience delivering Health and Social Care qualifications (desirable).
- Experience in Work-Based Learning (desirable).
- Qualification in CAVA / TAQA or willingness to attain it.
- ESW Communication Level 2 or willingness to work towards it.
- Fluency in Welsh (desirable).
