Our fantastic client in Cardiff, an award winning Training Provider, are seeking an Assessor to join them within their Essential Skills pathway division.


You will support qualification attainment to Essential Skills learners across a broad range of settings including online, workplace and classroom based learning.


Candidates will need to have experience in delivering, assessing, or supporting apprenticeships in a workplace setting.

What you'll be doing:



  • Ensure the highest training standards by adapting to learner needs.

  • Cover a regional area and travel to learners' workplaces for assessments.

  • Complete Individual Learning Plans and outline personalised learning pathways.

  • Reference and evaluate evidence collected in the workplace to meet key skill requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and guided contact hours, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and achievement of set performance targets.

  • Arrange additional training through day release and provide in-house training support as needed.

  • Keep detailed records of clients' achievements to meet the performance criteria established by relevant awarding bodies.


What we're looking for:



  • Experience in delivering, assessing, or supporting apprenticeships in a workplace setting.

  • Strong industry experience in Essential Skills with the ability to apply this knowledge in a learning and development context.

  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.

  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.


Salary & Benefits:


Salary will be between £24,000 - £28,000 dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 4:30pm, hybrid working (office, home and customer site)
