Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
- Develop and maintain customer accounts to drive business into the hotel and increase market/customer share across all revenue streams.
- Negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients.
- Respond promptly to customer queries in a professional manner, maintaining high standards of service and client relationships.
- Develop high-yield accounts according to sales segmentation.
- Achieve sales targets set by the hotel.
- Conduct sales calls to existing and prospective accounts as assigned by the DOSM.
- Maintain all sales activities and account information in the Sales Database.
- Foster relationships within the travel industry and maintain a high profile within the market.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports as requested by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Participate in selected trade shows.
- Track responsible companies' room night targets monthly and report according to DOSM guidelines.
- Attend weekly sales meetings with the DOSM.
- Conduct site inspections and host familiarization visits when required.
- Attend monthly review meetings with the DOSM to discuss results versus goals and sales strategies.
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the DOSM.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- 3+ years experience in 5* hotel Sales & Marketing preferred.
- Knowledge of the GCC market is preferred.
- Excellent upselling skills and tech-savviness.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Motivated, results-oriented team player.
- Highly proactive and determined.
