We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Vale of Glamorgan to assist with the appointment of a Neighbourhood Manager, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £23.13 - £30.53 per hour

Summary:

The Neighbourhood Manager is responsible for the allocation and management of housing and tenancy services within a defined neighbourhood. The role ensures delivery of a high-quality, responsive, neighbourhood-based housing service that reflects tenant aspirations, meets statutory duties, and upholds Council policies. It includes the management of general needs housing and older persons' accommodation, as well as the coordination of tenancy support and enforcement services.

Responsibilities:



  • Allocate properties, conduct pre-tenancy interviews, and explain tenancy terms.


  • Carry out new tenancy and starter reviews, including settling-in visits.

  • Manage sheltered and older persons' schemes within the allocated patch.

  • Liaise with support services and ensure schemes meet residents needs.

  • Coordinate environmental improvement schemes, training projects, and resident involvement activities.

Requirements:



  • Experience in housing management, tenant engagement, or community-based services.


  • Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy enforcement procedures, and ASB management.

  • Proven ability to coordinate multi-agency support and deliver person-centred services.


  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to interpret policies and apply them effectively in a housing context.
