We are currently working on an exciting and unique opportunity for a reputable and innovative comparison website, who have built an impressive network of verified partners and local experts in their industry and are now looking to expand their business off the back of their success. They are looking to take their business to the next level and share their success by onboarding new talent. They are currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Web Developer to help enhance and expand their digital platforms.

The Full-stack Developer will lead projects, mentor other developer and collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement high quality wen solutions. This will include managing the development processes, maintaining existing systems and contributing to the overall company growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using technologies such as Symfony, Vue.js, Craft CMS and MySQL.
  • Lead projects from concept to delivery, ensuring the timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Leading larger projects and coaching junior colleagues, enhancing their technical and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to integrate new features, upgrade systems and optimise performance.
  • Perform code reviews to maintain best practices and consistent coding standards.
  • Optimise and upgrade the existing tech stack, contributing to plans for the future.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, maintaining system reliability and stability.

Essential criteria:

  • Significant experience in full-stack development, including Symfony, Laravel or PHP
  • Vue.js (or similar front-end libraries).
  • Proficiency in HTML, SCSS, JavaScript and MySQL
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, especially GIT.
  • Experience working with APIs and package managers such as Composer or NPM.
  • Familiarity with maintaining and improving legacy codebases.

The successful candidate will hold advanced skills in both front end and back end, ensuring robust and scalable solutions, as well as the confidence and ability to mentor junior developers and guide the team effectively. They will hold excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as being a strong communicator who is able to adapt and embrace evolving project requirements.
