The Vacancy:
Are you a compassionate and flexible individual with experience in social care? Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with complex needs? Quarriers is looking for caring and committed Relief Intensive Support Practitioners to join our Countryview Respite Service within Quarriers Village.
Your Opportunity:
Quarriers are currently recruiting Relief Intensive Support Practitioners to join our Countryview Respite Service for Children and Families. Located in the peaceful and picturesque Quarriers Village, Countryview provides vital short breaks for children who have a wide range of complex needs, including medical complexities and neurodiverse conditions.
As a Relief Intensive Support Practitioner, you will work flexibly as part of a team to deliver high-quality care during respite stays. Your role will include:
Supporting children with daily routines and personal care
Administering medication in line with care plans
Providing a nurturing, safe and engaging environment
Responding to distressed behaviour using trauma-informed and person-centred approaches
Working Pattern
This is a relief position, offering flexible hoursShifts may include:
Day shifts
Evening shifts
Overnight/waking night shifts
Weekend availability
What You'll Need To Be Considered:
SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or HNC Social Services (or working towards)
Experience working with children and families in a care or similar setting
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
A commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed care
Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs
Ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team
A full UK driving licence
