The responsibilities of a Senior Legal Counsel

The Senior Legal Counsel / Legal Counsel is a member of a UK market focused team, overseeing all legal work relating to the business activities of Stellantis Financial Services UK Limited. This includes providing strategic legal advice and guidance to appropriate stakeholders (including senior management), as well as advising on legal aspects of specific products or operational processes.

As a manager within the business and a critical member of the Legal department, the successful candidate will demonstrate integrity and high standards of conduct at all times. You’ll need to comply with the Statements of Principle and Codes of Practice issues by the FCA, respect our governance structure, policies and procedures of the organisation and be an advocate for change and continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with Head of Legal and other stakeholders while largely working autonomously but as part of the Legal department.

What will set you apart?

We are looking for a qualified legal professional, someone with excellent communication skills, who can guide and influence in a professional manner. You’ll be able to analyse complex topics and provide practical guidance and solutions. As well as being highly professional and credible with an ability to deal with senior management and group stakeholders as well as junior members of staff. Some understanding of the motor finance industry or consumer credit would be preferable and some negotiation skills. This is an office-based role, but you will also enjoy a balance of working from home.
