Teaching Assistant required in Cardiff with an immediate & September start

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join an amazing team within a special resource base within a Secondary school in Cardiff. The base fosters an inclusive, supporting and fun environment for pupils with Additional Learning Needs, helping with daily tasks and life skills.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students
• Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
• Collaborate with teachers & professionals, assisting with personal care tasks & helping learners develop social & emotional skills

Teaching Assistant requirements:

• A passion for supporting other
• Experience working supporting needs such as Autism & ADHD
• Experience managing difficult behaviour & de-escalating situations is desirable
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service (or happy to process one through ZEN)
• Fluent in English
• A valid Right to Work in the UK
• Have a positive and proactive attitude towards supporting children with SEN
