Description
As a Financial Controller, you'll oversee all aspects of the region’s accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This role offers both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, supporting our growth across the UK and Europe.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead accounting, treasury, audit, and tax reporting for the UK region.
- Manage month-end close and consolidation for UK entities.
- Supervise a team of four handling general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance.
- Maintain internal controls and enforce corporate finance policies.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure corporate tax compliance.
- Provide accurate financial data to support global FP&A activities like forecasting and budgeting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members to ensure professional growth and departmental alignment.
Qualifications for Success
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar senior finance role, preferably with IFRS expertise.
- Knowledge of UK statutory audits, tax requirements, foreign entities, and currency matters.
- Strong understanding of UK & international accounting standards, Companies House regulations, and tax laws.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and system integrations; NetSuite experience is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to influence across functions.
- Willingness to be strategic and hands-on, actively involved in daily accounting operations.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and deadline orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ideally in private equity-backed settings.
