As a senior member of the process and application industrialization team, you will be part of the team responsible for operations solutions development, sustaining, and support activities for our production lines.
The operations solutions team delivers software solutions used throughout the manufacturing organization, targeting the industrialization and production management of HID products.
These solutions are deployed globally at HID sites, as well as at suppliers and contract manufacturers.
They cover all product lines (credentials, tags, readers, controllers, panels, tokens, printers, etc.) and various aspects of production processes (like provisioning, programming, encoding, labeling, packaging, reporting, lifecycle & traceability management).

As our Staff Software Developer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Developing and implementing industrialization of hardware products (readers, controllers, etc.)
- Developing and implementing industrialization of credential profiles
- Analyzing shop floor processes, designing solutions, and conducting implementation, documentation, and testing
- Integrating and deploying machine solutions
- Participating in sustaining activities
- Providing Level 2 & 3 support
- Collaborating with engineering and technical support to proactively implement industrial solutions leveraging a generic platform
- Participating in full design, development, validation, and documentation cycles
- Identifying solutions to improve manufacturing processes
- Migrating legacy tools and processes to standardized platforms
- Maintaining security standards for the site and products
- Interacting with local IT to set up infrastructure
- Following departmental architecture and process guidelines
- Providing Level 2 & 3 support to the manufacturing team
- Meeting deadlines for software enhancements aligned with product development schedules
- Performing other duties as assigned
What we love about your background:
- Knowledge of electronic design & hardware is appreciated
- Knowledge of communication interfaces over JTAG, SWD, UART, SPI, I2C is appreciated
- Knowledge of applied cryptography and key management is appreciated
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies is appreciated
- Knowledge of RFID industry standards such as ISO7816, ISO14443, ISO15693 is appreciated
- Strong C# background (minimum 3 years), including .Net, ASP.NET, HTML, JSON, XML
Your Experience and Education include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 10 years’ experience in software and solution development, ideally for industrial applications
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
