Junior Full-Stack .Net Software Engineer - #1719728

What you'll be doing

As part of the strategy around GoCompare's acquisition by Future, we're implementing a technology roadmap to re-platform our domain around an API-first, cloud-based serverless architecture, aiming to become the leading Price Comparison Website (PCW) service. This initiative is part of our plan to expand beyond the GoCompare brand.

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the team building our new systems, participating in professional development to stay current with industry knowledge on architecture and design. You will collaborate with engineers at all levels to deliver our platform, ensuring it meets both customer and company needs.

You will be responsible for ensuring changes are scalable, tested, and developed following best practices, with a focus on continuous improvement of our codebase.

Reporting to the Tech Lead, you will work with Engineering, Product, UX, QA, and Project Management teams to ensure reliable integration of all applications. You will also have opportunities to learn from the team and other resources to grow your engineering skills.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

• Experience with .NET Core or .NET Framework


• Experience with JavaScript (ES6+), including TypeScript


• Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure Services


• Experience or awareness of application monitoring practices, including metrics, tracing, and logging


• Experience or awareness of testing frameworks (e.g., MS Test, XUnit, Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, PlayWright)

The expected salary range for this role is £25,000 - £35,000.

This is a hybrid role based in either our Bath or Cardiff office, working three days in the office and two from home.
