About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Head of HR with exposure to Engineering and Product teams to join us at Confused for a 9 Month FTC. You’ll play a crucial role within the HR team, taking responsibility for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives to support our goals and objectives. You’ll work closely with the leadership team, and provide support to the HR team and wider business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the integration of career frameworks across the business to foster a performance culture.
• Working with key stakeholders on some selected people and culture matters
• Shaping, influencing, managing, and delivering various people projects and change initiatives aligned with the people strategy.
• Developing a trusted relationship with the senior stakeholders to support the ongoing cultural development of the Product & Engineering leadership team specifically.
• Promoting and strengthening the Confused.com culture by coaching and enhancing our people managers to a higher standard.
• Supporting the business in making impactful people transformation.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead a small and diverse teams.
• Agility & Adaptability: Ability to quickly respond to changing directions and take on new tasks with minimal notice.
• Decision Making: Understands the broader business context and the importance of data in informing decisions, with the capacity to translate people-related decisions for the benefit of the wider organization.
• Solution-Focused Approach: Challenges existing processes to identify and implement better solutions. • Coaching & Mentoring: Regularly coaches, mentors, and supports senior and high-potential colleagues to identify strengths and development needs, build effective relationships, and foster retention.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or higher
• Experience with HR best practice within Engineering heavy (and ideally Product and Design) business environments
• Comprehensive understanding of generalist HR principles and fostering company culture
• Previous management of a small HR team including HR BPs
• An individual with an organisational development inclination
• A proactive individual with a hands-on approach to support the HR team as needed

Desirable Experience:

• Prior experience within a technology company
