We’re seeking motivated, compassionate and dynamic Teaching Assistants to join our supportive teams in a range of Cardiff primary schools. You’ll be working closely with class teachers to support the academic, emotional and social development of pupils across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 (EYFS to Year 6).
This is a versatile and rewarding role with opportunities to shine whether you love messy play in Nursery, guided reading in Year 2, or helping a Year 5 pupil master their long division.
Your responsibilities could include:
Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), EAL, or SEMH
Assisting with classroom preparation, displays, and creative learning activities
Helping pupils access the curriculum in a way that suits their needs and abilities
Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
Using your initiative to adapt support based on pupils’ individual progress and needs
Leading fun and engaging interventions – whether phonics, numeracy games or mindfulness sessions
Supporting behaviour management with patience, consistency and understanding
Assisting with monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and wellbeing

Bonus points if you have:
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, Childcare, Psychology etc.)
Experience working with children with ALN, ASD, ADHD or SEMH
Basic Welsh language skills (though not essential!)
