A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Construction, Infrastructure & Projects team based in Cardiff. This is a unique opportunity to join a Tier 1-ranked department that advises clients across the full spectrum of construction, engineering, and energy projects and disputes throughout the UK



The Role

The successful candidate will support the teams growing pipeline of both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners and junior lawyers, and to take ownership of matters in line with experience and capability



Key responsibilities include:

Advising on standard form contracts, including JCT and NEC

Managing or supporting complex adjudication and litigation processes

Acting for a wide client base, including central and local government, developers, contractors, funders, housebuilders, housing associations, banks, and consultants

Contributing to a collaborative and commercially minded team environment



The firm has acted on major national infrastructure matters, including disputes related to the A465 dualling project and contract advice on Hinkley Point C power station



Key Requirements

4+ years PQE in construction law

Experience with standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC)

Strong technical knowledge and drafting skills

Excellent communication and client relationship skills

Commercial mindset and practical approach

Comfortable presenting and delivering training (with support)

Strong IT proficiency

Interest in business development and networking
