Wellbeing Support Worker - #1727997
Moxie People

Looking for a job that genuinely means something?
As a Wellbeing Support Worker, you'll play a central role in helping young people in Cardiff rebuild after trauma, overcome adversity, and move towards a brighter, more stable future.
This isn't box-ticking support, it's about being the calm, consistent presence that helps someone turn a corner.
Moxie People are recruiting for a Wellbeing Support Worker to join a pioneering project in Cardiff that aims to make youth homelessness rare, brief and non-recurrent. You'll work as part of a powerful partnership model that's changing the way support is delivered - and changing lives in the process.
Salary: Circa £24,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (plus on-call rota, 1 in 8 weeks)
Contract: Fixed term until March 2027 (with potential for extension)
Location: Based across multiple sites in Cardiff
What you'll be doing as a Wellbeing Support Worker:
- Provide 1:1 support to young people at risk of exploitation, abuse, or crisis
- Help them build resilience and coping tools while awaiting mental health services
- Work with their support workers and partners across Cardiff to ensure joined-up care
- Deliver person-centred support that prioritises dignity, trust, and emotional safety
This role is ideal if you:
- Have experience supporting young people with complex needs
- Understand trauma-informed care and practice it with compassion
- Are calm under pressure, resilient, and great at building trust
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and want to make a real impact
Nice to have:
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of child sexual/criminal exploitation indicators
- Background in floating support, outreach, or partnership-based services
Why join this charity?
Because you'll join a charity that will genuinely care for and support you. You'll be joining a team that's purpose-driven, supportive, and grounded in doing things properly. And you'll be part of a project that's leading the way in transforming support services for young people in Cardiff.
