Role Overview

If you are an experienced procurement professional ready to take the next step in your supply chain career this role will be for you. This role is more than transactional Buying and will offer you the opportunity to be pivotal in bringing New Products into the businesses wide product portfolio

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a globally recognised organisation known for its innovative solutions and high-quality products. As a Buyer, you'll play a key role in delivering best-value procurement, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting global sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure materials, components, and equipment to meet production schedules and budgets.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, pricing, and service levels.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to manage supply chain risks and performance.
• Apply RFx processes and strategic sourcing methodologies to optimise spend.
• Monitor and manage fixed pricing schedules and long-term supplier agreements.
• Support inventory management and intercompany transactions.
• Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
• Lead on commercial aspects of supplier quality and vendor development issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a supply chain or procurement role as a minimum.
• Background in a complex manufacturing environment is required.
• A proven problem solver
• Experience with complex, project-based sourcing.
• Degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a related field is advantageous.
• Relevant procurement qualifications would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Organised, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure.
