TLR2 Teacher (with responsibilities for the development of Science & Technology) – Cardiff
- Located in the district of Ely, Revised Recruitment Group are working with a school that provides a happy and caring community. The school provides high levels of support for pupils and families, enabling children and young adults to make excellent progress during their time at school.

Job Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled teacher to take on a TLR2 leadership role with responsibility for the development of Science and Technology across all key stages. The successful candidate will lead the strategic planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Science and Technology curriculum, ensuring it is fully inclusive, engaging, and accessible for learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
Key Responsibilities - TLR2 Teacher
- Drive curriculum innovation in line with the Curriculum for Wales and the school’s ethos.
- Develop and implement high-quality, differentiated schemes of work tailored to learners’ individual needs.
- Monitor pupil progress through robust assessment systems and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Support and mentor colleagues through coaching, modelling, and the provision of CPD to strengthen science and technology provision across the school.
- Promote the use of assistive technology, digital learning tools, and real-world applications to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): achieved through a PGCE or BA/BSc with QTS,
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) - Especially in relation to curriculum development, numeracy, SEN (Special Educational Needs), and leadership.
- Experience of teaching Science and/or Technology across relevant key stages.
- A strong understanding of working with pupils with ALN/SEN (Additional Learning Needs/Special Educational Needs), especially in a special school setting.
- Familiarity with or willingness to adopt and embed the +Digital Competence Framework into school planning and delivery.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills to support and develop colleagues.
- Effective use of assessment data to inform teaching, planning, and intervention
Working Conditions
- Term-time only (plus additional days for preparation).
- Typical hours: 08.30-15.30
