Role description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Management Engineer to join our Technical Advisory team in the UK. Reporting directly to a Principal Consultant within Resilience (spanning Water & Energy with ambitions across Environment), you will be instrumental in leading projects and mentoring junior staff while providing technical leadership.

Role accountabilities:

  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring timely completion within budget while exceeding client expectations.
  • Provide expert technical support throughout the asset management lifecycle—from specification through optimisation.
  • Engage with new and existing clients, bringing real-world experience into every interaction.
  • Work flexibly across sectors, leading small projects or sub-projects as required.
  • Develop project plans and benefit cases that drive business growth.
  • Foster innovation among team members.
  • Collaborate with Global Excellence Centres (GECs) as integral resources for service delivery.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives within asset management environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering / Technical - Degree in engineering (civil/mechanical/electrical), mathematics or science-based discipline
  • Industry Experience - Proven experience at an engineering level from industry or consultancy background
  • Project Delivery - Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time/budget with high quality standards
  • Teamwork & Collaboration - Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams both internally/externally
  • Communication Skills - Strong relationship-building skills with confidence communicating at all levels
  • Client Engagement - Willingness/ability to travel for work and work in client offices when required

Advantageous:

  • Asset Management Certification (IAM certificate preferred but not mandatory)
  • Progressing towards or have chartered status/membership of accredited institutions
  • Practitioner-Level Knowledge and Understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), ISO55001 or similar frameworks
  • FMECA / Lean Principles / Risk Assessment Tools
  • Digital/Analytics Experience
  • Change Programme/Business Transformation Experience
  • Project Management Innovation
  • Professional Accreditation Progress
