Glamorgan Cricket

Glamorgan County Cricket Club is seeking to appoint a new member to its Audit, Finance & Risk Committee. This is a non-remunerated voluntary position, playing a key role in strengthening the Club’s governance, financial oversight and risk management at a transformational time for Cricket in Wales.


Following the investment process in the Hundred Glamorgan is now 50% owner of the Welsh Fire franchise. Glamorgan will also have a Tier 1 professional Women’s team from 2027.


About the Role


The successful candidate will support the Committee in providing independent scrutiny and guidance across:


· Financial reporting and performance

· Internal controls and audit processes

· Regulatory compliance

· Strategic and operational risk management

· Governance standards and accountability


You will work collaboratively with the Committee Chair, fellow members, and senior executives to help ensure transparency, sound decision-making, and the Club’s long-term resilience.


Who We’re Looking For2


We welcome applications from individuals with:


· Professional experience in audit, finance, risk management, governance, law or compliance

· Strong analytical capability and attention to detail

· Independence of judgement and high ethical standards

· The ability to contribute constructively to committee discussions

· A passion for supporting cricket and sport in Wales


Prior board or committee experience is beneficial but not essential.


Time Commitment


The Committee typically meets up to 4 times per year, with occasional additional involvement depending on Club needs.
