TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a leading and highly regarded law firm in Cardiff that is seeking a professional and personable Legal Receptionist / Front of House Assistant to join its welcoming team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous reception or administrative experience within a professional services or legal environment who enjoys client interaction and thrives in a busy, professional setting.

The Role

As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in representing the firm and ensuring a positive client experience from the moment individuals arrive or make contact with the office.

Alongside front-of-house responsibilities, the role will also involve providing administrative and typing support to fee earners and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Meeting and greeting clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Managing incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
• Handling meeting room bookings and preparing rooms for client meetings
• Providing administrative support to fee earners and support staff
• Assisting with typing duties, legal correspondence, and document preparation
• Managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
• Maintaining reception and client areas to a high professional standard
• Supporting general office administration and day-to-day operations
• Liaising with clients and third parties professionally and confidently

About You

• Previous experience within a reception, front-of-house, or administrative role
• Experience within a law firm or professional services environment would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional presentation and client-focused approach
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good typing and IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Friendly, proactive, and able to multitask effectively
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude
