Description

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements.
  • Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks.
  • Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of accurate financial records.
  • Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support projects.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

Profile

A successful Work Placement - Finance should have:

  • A strong interest in accounting and finance within the public sector.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Offer

  • Salary £25,333.33
  • 33 days of annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, all pro-rata'd.
  • A 35-hour work week to support work-life balance.
  • Reimbursement for travel expenses, including parking or rail station costs, up to £8 per day in Cardiff.
