Senior Façade Designer - #2111527

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer with a strong background in aluminium systems and façade design to join a growing and technically driven business within the building envelope sector.

This role will suit a design professional who can take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, with a focus on technical excellence, buildability and compliance across façade systems.

• Lead the design and coordination of aluminium façade systems, including curtain walling, windows, doors and bespoke glazing packages
• Produce and review detailed technical drawings (2D/3D) using AutoCAD, Revit or similar
• Develop designs from tender stage through to fabrication and installation
• Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure coordinated design outputs
• Manage and review technical submissions, including calculations, specifications and material selections
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, CWCT standards and project requirements
• Provide value engineering solutions while maintaining design integrity and performance
• Support project teams during installation phases, resolving technical issues as required
• Mentor and support junior designers, contributing to the development of the design function

• Proven experience as a Designer / Senior Designer within façades or aluminium systems
• Strong technical knowledge of:Experience working within fabricator, specialist contractor or façade consultancy environments
  
  • Curtain walling (stick & unitised systems)
  • Windows, doors and aluminium profiles
  • Rainscreen cladding / façade interfaces
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM experience highly desirable)
• Good understanding of:Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  
  • Manufacturing processes and assembly details
  • Site installation and sequencing
  • Current building regulations and façade compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Commercially aware with an understanding of cost and programme impact
• Proactive, solutions-driven and able to work independently or within a team
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
