Commercial Electrician (South Wales)

Location

South Wales — ideally within ~30 minutes of Cardiff

(Projects also across South Wales, Midlands & occasional London work)

Salary

• Circa £38,000 – £44,000 basic (JIB dependent)
• Realistic earnings £55,000–£60,000+ with overtime, nights & away work
• Company van + tools + expenses when working away

The Company

A growing commercial electrical contractor delivering projects across sectors including infrastructure, commercial fit-out and specialist works. Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline, they are looking to strengthen the team with an experienced electrician who can operate independently on site.

The Role

You will work across a range of commercial projects, often operating autonomously from drawings, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial electrical installations and maintenance
• Work independently from drawings and specifications
• Attend sites across South Wales and occasionally further afield
• Ensure compliance with current regulations and company standards
• Liaise with site teams and project leads
• Complete testing, fault finding and commissioning where required

Requirements

Essential

• Proven commercial electrical experience
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload
• 18th Edition (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Approved Electrician status (JIB)
• Testing & inspection qualifications
• Experience on infrastructure or large commercial projects
