Investment Management Administrator
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Up to £28,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid, with 2 days working from home
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Team Administrator to join a leading UK wealth management business in its Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and client-focused individual to join a high-performing team and provide essential administrative support to Investment Managers, Portfolio Managers, clients, introducers and internal teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the team, maintaining accurate records, managing client requests and supporting the onboarding and ongoing servicing of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Open, scan and save post to client files.
- Respond to client and introducer queries by telephone and email.
- Manage workflow queues and ensure requests are dealt with promptly.
- Arrange meetings for Investment Manager teams.
- Liaise with relevant internal teams to support the effective onboarding of new clients.
- Initiate incoming and outgoing transfers and keep Investment Managers and Portfolio Managers updated on progress.
- Instruct internal cash and stock transfers between portfolios.
- Process client payment instructions, including arranging call-backs where required.
- Complete client KYC and account amendments.
- Process ISA, LISA, JISA and Flexible ISA subscriptions.
- Assist with meeting preparation, including printing and binding client and introducer reports and presentations.
- Build strong relationships with introducers, paraplanning teams and clients.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with FCA Conduct Rules and internal procedures.
- Provide wider administrative support to the team as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within wealth management or investment management.
- A genuine interest in and understanding of financial services.
- Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships with clients, professional advisers, Investment Managers, product providers and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive and positive approach, with a genuine passion for delivering excellent outcomes.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
