Description

• Manage a portfolio of SME and entrepreneurial clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee statutory compliance and provide expert guidance on accounting matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Identify opportunities to provide added value through advisory services.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
• Review and finalise financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and industry trends to provide informed advice.Managing a diverse portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Reviewing statutory accounts prepared by the wider team.
• Advising clients on accounting, tax and commercial matters.
• Leading client meetings and developing trusted adviser relationships.
• Reviewing management accounts and financial reporting assignments.
• Supporting clients with business planning, growth and profitability initiatives.
• Overseeing workflow management and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and add value.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Supporting Partners with client portfolio management and strategic initiatives.
• Ensuring all work is delivered to a high technical and professional standard.

Profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Significant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong background managing accounts and business services portfolios.
• Experience reviewing statutory accounts for a varied client base.
• Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards and SME reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client service.
• Confident building relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities effectively.
• Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing practice.

Job Offer

• Salary of £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.
