These music teacher roles will commence on the 7th September 2026 and will continue until the end of the 2027/28 academic year. You will be expected to teach students to play an instrument and to read and understand music.

• Plan and prepare effective schemes of learning and lessons
• Use innovative and diverse teaching methods that supports the national curriculum
• Use regular assessments to monitor progress and set targets

Required Skills and Qualifications for a Music Teacher

• Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
• Valid DBS (Can be produced through us)
• Registered with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) (Can be produced through us)

Desirable Skills for a Music Teacher

• Full driving licence and have access to a car
• You live in or near Cardiff
