We're looking for an experienced Senior Claims Handler to join our Claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong claims professional who enjoys managing complex claims, supporting clients, and mentoring colleagues.

What will you do as a Senior Claims Handler?

You'll be responsible for delivering a proactive, efficient, and high-quality claims service, ensuring clients receive expert support throughout the claims process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of claims across a range of insurance classes.

  • Acting as a technical referral point for colleagues.

  • Producing and analysing claims reports and management information.

  • Supporting clients with complex and large-loss claims.

  • Working closely with Account Executives and New Business teams to provide claims insights and support client retention and growth.

  • Ensuring claims are handled in line with company procedures, delegated authority agreements, and FCA requirements.

  • Coaching and supporting less experienced team members.


What are we looking for in our next Senior Claims Handler?

  • Strong general insurance claims experience, ideally within a broking environment.

  • Cert CII and/or Cert CILA qualifications is desirable.

  • Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to interpret policy wordings.

  • Experience analysing claims data and identifying trends.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent organisation, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues.

  • Specialist knowledge in one or more areas of general insurance claims.
