This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national multidisciplined consultancy who provide a wide range of expertise to high profile projects across the UK. They are on the lookout for a commercially aware and experienced Office Lead to join their growing Cardiff offices.

Duties for the role of Office Lead include:
- Leading and developing the local town planning team, creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture
- Managing a varied portfolio of complex planning projects from inception through to delivery
- Providing senior-level planning advice to clients, project teams and stakeholders.
- Leading planning strategies, applications, appeals, local plan representations and other planning submissions
- Building strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Working closely with colleagues across planning, landscape, design, environmental and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
- Supporting the growth and development of the office, including identifying opportunities, winning work and strengthening the consultancy's market presence
- Mentoring and developing junior and senior colleagues, supporting their professional and career progression
- Taking an active role in recruitment, resource planning and the continued development of the planning team
Skills and experience for the role of Office Lead:
- Significant experience within town planning consultancy, planning practice, development consultancy or a related environment
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, policy and development management processes
- A proven track record of successfully managing complex planning projects
- Experience of working with developers, landowners, public sector organisations and/or infrastructure clients
- Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify and secure new opportunities
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience of managing, mentoring or developing planning professionals
- The confidence to provide authoritative planning advice while working collaboratively with other disciplines
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- MRTPI accreditation or equivalent professional experience is highly desirable.
