Contract Electrician

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Approved Electricians to join our contractor network and support a range of clients across various electrical projects.

This is a flexible contract opportunity, ideal for an electrician who is looking to provide 3–5 days of contracting work at a time and is confident working across a variety of electrical environments.

The Role

As a Contract Electrician, you will be carrying out a range of electrical works for our clients, including installation, maintenance, testing and inspection.

You will need to be a confident and competent electrician who can work independently, adapt to different sites and take on a variety of electrical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works
• Complete EICRs, testing and inspection
• Fault finding and electrical diagnostics
• Installation and replacement of electrical equipment and components
• Carry out general electrical works across domestic, commercial and/or industrial environments
• Identify and rectify electrical faults
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to current regulations
• Complete relevant certification and paperwork
• Work professionally and independently on client sites

Requirements

• Fully qualified Approved Electrician
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Strong experience completing EICRs and testing & inspection
• Confident carrying out a wide range of electrical works
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good knowledge of BS7671 and electrical safety regulations
• Previous contracting experience preferred
• Own tools and relevant PPE
• Reliable, professional and able to commit to 3–5 days of contract work
