Location: Wales (supporting contracts across Bristol and the South West, North West, and Scotland)

Salary: £55,000 + Company Vehicle + Benefits Package

Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for an HSE Advisor to support operational facilities management contracts across a diverse portfolio of sites. Wales will be your primary base location, with regular travel to contracts across Bristol and the South West, the North West and Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with operational teams, influence positive safety behaviours and help deliver best practice across a varied customer base.

Job Description

As an HSE Advisor, you will provide expert health, safety and environmental support across a range of facilities management contracts. Partnering with operational teams, you will help create safe working environments, ensure compliance with legal and company requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the region.

This is a mobile role with Wales as your main base location. You will also support contracts across Bristol and the South West, the North West and Scotland, giving you the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio that includes healthcare, education, retail, transport and local authority environments.

As part of the regional HSE team, you will provide practical advice, coaching and guidance to colleagues and clients. Through regular site visits, audits and stakeholder engagement, you will play a key role in promoting a positive health, safety and environmental culture across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical health, safety and environmental advice across operational contracts.
  • Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Support operational teams with day-to-day HSE matters.
  • Investigate incidents and support effective corrective actions.
  • Review risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Deliver guidance, coaching and safety awareness support.
  • Promote compliance with client, legal and company requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and operational stakeholders.
  • Support facilities management, refurbishment and minor works activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across a multi-site portfolio.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Level 6 qualification in Health & Safety.
  • Strong experience providing practical health and safety advice.
  • Background within facilities management environments.
  • Experience supporting operational FM contracts.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, refurbishment and minor works activities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently across a large geographical region.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Ability to influence, coach and support operational teams.
