The Role

Are you an experienced Childcare professional looking to move into Further Education, or an established Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?

Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across South Wales to recruit experienced Lecturers in Childcare.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your industry knowledge and expertise to support the next generation of learners, helping students develop practical skills, achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.


Working within a Childcare and Early Years department, you will:

* Deliver engaging Childcare and Early Years teaching
* Support learners working towards relevant vocational qualifications
* Deliver both theoretical and practical learning activities
* Share current knowledge of early years practice and child development
* Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback
* Support learners preparing for placements and future employment
* Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement
* Support learners with SEN/ALN or behavioural needs
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement

What We're Looking For

* Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or a relevant discipline
* Strong professional experience within childcare or early years
* Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, child development and early years practice
* Experience supporting learners, apprentices or trainees is desirable
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Teaching/training qualification desirable
* Experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
