The Role

Are you an experienced Catering professional looking to move into Further Education, or an established Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?

Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across South Wales to recruit experienced Lecturers in Catering.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your industry knowledge and expertise to support the next generation of learners, helping students develop practical skills, achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.

Working within a Catering department, you will:

* Deliver engaging Catering and Hospitality teaching
* Deliver practical kitchen sessions reflecting professional industry standards
* Demonstrate food preparation, cooking and presentation techniques
* Promote high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen practice
* Assess practical and theory-based work
* Support learners working towards vocational qualifications
* Develop learners' practical skills and employability
* Support learners with SEN/ALN or behavioural needs
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement

What We're Looking For

* Level 3 qualification in Catering, Hospitality or a relevant discipline
* Strong professional experience within the catering/hospitality industry
* Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and professional kitchen practices
* Experience supporting learners, apprentices or trainees is desirable
* Strong practical skills and ability to demonstrate techniques
* Teaching/training qualification desirable
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
