Private Client Tax Assistant Manager - #2151883

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to join their growing tax team, offering flexible working, a company pension, and much more. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of private clients, including high net worth individuals, trusts, and business owners, providing proactive tax planning advice and ensuring compliance obligations are met to a high standard. You will work closely with partners and directors on advisory projects, while also supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs, trusts, and business owners
• Provide tax planning and advisory support alongside compliance work
• Review tax returns prepared by junior staff and provide technical guidance
• Liaise directly with clients and build strong working relationships
• Support partners on ad hoc advisory and planning projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters
• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
• Excellent client relationship management skills
• Proven experience reviewing the work of junior colleagues
