MS716 - Class 1 Shunter Driver

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £14.59 per hour

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 1 Shunter Driver on behalf of one of our clients.

The successful candidate will be joining the transport team, which works a shift system, working the following shifts - 6.00am – 14.00pm, 14.00pm - 22.00pm & 22.00pm – 06.00am.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily vehicle checks.
• Movement of products in a safe and efficient manner.
• All tasks to be completed as instructed by the Transport Planner.
• Primarily, but not restricted to, movement of goods around site.
• Responsible for following all company procedures and policies in line with our compliance management system and to report any concerns of noncompliance immediately,
• Responsibility for taking reasonable care of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions. You must follow all instructions and training given to you and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Strap and secure loads on both Flatbed and Curtain Sided Vehicles.

Skills and Qualifications:

• HGV Class 1 Driving License with no endorsements.
• Drivers CPC.
• Digital Drivers Card.
• RTITB Forklift Training Certification would be an advantage.
• CSCS card would be an advantage.
• A degree of flexibility to working hours within the working day is required.
