The Financial Controller is a newly created role in this business services organisation through continued growth and a restructure in the department.

An organisation in the Business Services sector, currently operating a 100% remote basis.

Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to put their stamp on this newly created role as Financial Controller.

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for (but not limited to);

• Lead and develop the financial operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Own treasury management, cash flow forecasting and working capital oversight.
• Lead statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance activities.
• Drive finance systems improvements, automation and process optimisation initiatives.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide accurate, timely and insightful financial information.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
• Experience in financial management within a large complex organisation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team effectively.
• Strong communication skills to convey financial insights clearly.

Job Offer

• 100% remote role
• Salary of £70,000 to £80,000 dependent on the level of experience.
• Potential to condense working week to 4 days
