Hays Building Services are working exclusively with a well-established and growing independent Building Services Consultancy in Bristol to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer.This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, highly respected consultancy where your contribution will have a genuine impact. With a strong pipeline of work spanning commercial offices, residential developments, education facilities, healthcare projects and mixed-use schemes, the business is looking for an ambitious engineer who enjoys technical design, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff.

Your new role
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality building services designs while helping to shape the future growth of the business.Responsibilities include:
-Leading electrical building services design projects from concept through to completion.
-Producing detailed calculations, specifications and technical reports.
-Coordinating designs with mechanical engineers, architects and wider project teams.
-Managing client relationships and attending design meetings.
-Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
-Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
-Contributing to business development and identifying opportunities for repeat work.

What you'll need to succeed
We're keen to hear from candidates with:-A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
-Proven experience within a Building Services Consultancy environment.
-Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design.
-Experience using software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux and AutoCAD/Revit.
-Good knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards.
-Strong communication and client-facing skills.
-Chartered status or progress towards chartership would be advantageous.
