About the Company

Our client is an established and growing financial planning firm based in Cardiff. They provide a high-quality, personal service to their clients and are looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team and provide high-quality technical support to the Financial Advisers.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive paraplanning support to Financial Advisers
• Preparing high-quality suitability reports, Statements of Advice and supporting documentation
• Conducting detailed research into pensions, investments, protection and financial planning strategies
• Preparing and reviewing client recommendations
• Completing cashflow analysis and investment research where required
• Liaising with providers and platforms to obtain information and progress cases
• Supporting the end-to-end advice process from initial research through to implementation
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring all documentation is completed to a high standard
• Working closely with advisers to manage workloads and meet deadlines
• Ensuring all advice documentation meets regulatory and compliance requirements
• Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, regulations and industry developments

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within an IFA or financial planning environment
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
• Excellent report-writing and research skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A professional and collaborative approach
• Ability to work independently while providing effective support to Financial Advisers

Desirable Skills

• CII qualifications, ideally working towards or holding the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
• Experience using Xplan, Intelligent Office or other financial planning systems
• Experience with cashflow modelling and investment research tools
• Previous experience supporting advisers with complex financial planning cases
