Receptionist - Front of House

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and personable Receptionist to join the Front of House team of a well-established and Top Law firm in Cardiff.
As the first point of contact for clients, visitors and guests, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming, polished and professional experience from the moment people arrive. You'll be joining a busy office environment where attention to detail, excellent customer service and strong communication skills are essential.
Alongside managing the day-to-day reception function, you'll support meeting arrangements and assist with the coordination of client-facing events, working closely with colleagues across the business.
This would suit someone who enjoys a varied, people-focused role and takes pride in maintaining high standards in a professional environment.
What will you be doing?
- Welcoming clients and visitors to the office and ensuring they receive a friendly, professional service.
- Contacting the relevant colleagues when guests arrive and ensuring they are promptly notified.
- Coordinating meeting room bookings across the client floor.
- Preparing refreshments for meetings, appointments and events.
- Ensuring reception and client-facing areas remain clean, organised and presentable.
- Supporting the Business Development and Marketing team with the practical arrangements for on-site events.
- Helping ensure meetings and events run smoothly, with occasional out-of-hours support where required.
- Providing a reliable and professional point of contact for visitors and colleagues throughout the working day.
What experience are they looking for?
- Previous experience in a receptionist or Front of House position.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong customer service mindset and a professional, approachable manner.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks effectively.
- An understanding of the standards expected within a professional services environment.
- Events coordination or management experience would be advantageous.
Working hours
This is a full-time, office-based position in Cardiff.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
Occasional additional hours may be required to support events, with overtime payments available where applicable.
